Presidency Denies Poison Plot Against President Tinubu

The presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga has categorically dismissed claims circulating on social media regarding an alleged plot to poison President Bola Tinubu. A viral video suggested that a kitchen staff member at the State House in Abuja had been arrested in connection with this supposed plot.

Onanuga labeled these claims as "outright false," emphasizing that there were no arrests of any kitchen staff at Aso Rock. He urged the public to disregard the misleading information and described the rumors as baseless.

Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Tope Ajayi, also responded to inquiries about the matter, reiterating that there was no credible source to support the allegations. The swift denial from the presidency aimed to quell any concerns that had arisen from the viral video, which had gained traction across social media platforms.
