Presidency Disclaims Existence of Foreign Intervention Council

On Thursday, the Presidency, represented by Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, issued a statement disavowing the existence of a so-called "Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council." The statement clarified that at no time has President Bola Tinubu set up or authorized such an organization. It specifically addressed claims made by certain individuals, including Adeniyi Adeyemi, regarding the alleged council, which was purported to be involved in foreign diplomatic missions and financial dealings with multilateral development institutions and security agencies.

The official notice emphasized that no appointments have been made in relation to this non-existent council and urged the public to disregard any misleading information regarding its activities.
