Tinubu Absent from Sanwo-Olu's Project Inauguration

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu did not attend the inauguration of infrastructure projects by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu due to pressing security issues. The presidency explained that Tinubu is currently occupied with state matters, particularly concerning security, which is a priority amid ongoing developments across the country.

During an interview with Channels Television, it was confirmed that the President has been receiving constant security briefings and intelligence updates, especially following recent events in Plateau State. The inauguration was initially scheduled for Wednesday, April 2, where Tinubu was expected to inaugurate the Opebi-Mende Link Bridge and the Tolu School Complex located in the Ajegunle area of Lagos State.

However, due to the situation in Plateau State, which saw violence in the Angwan Rukuba area, the President's attendance was deemed unfeasible. Additionally, the Lagos State government announced partial road closures in anticipation of the inauguration.
