Gambia Graduates 951 Students, Thanks Nigeria for Support

On a significant occasion, President Adama Barrow of Gambia reiterated his country's deep appreciation for Nigeria's ongoing support through the Nigerian Technical Aid Corps (NTAC) during the second combined convocation ceremony at the University of Science, Engineering and Technology (USET) in Banjul. A total of 951 students graduated, showcasing the impact of the NTAC scheme on Gambia's higher education sector.

Barrow commended Nigeria's development cooperation efforts and acknowledged the contributions of Nigerian professionals in advancing education in Gambia. The ceremony featured awards for outstanding academic performance, with the valedictorian expressing gratitude to the World Bank for its support.

Key figures present included NTAC Director General Yusuf Buba Yakub, who conveyed goodwill from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, reaffirming Nigeria's commitment to strengthening technical assistance and knowledge transfer to Gambia. The event underscored the successful partnership between the two nations in enhancing educational development.
