President Faye Applauds Sahara Group's Energy Support

President Bassirou Diomaye Faye of Senegal commended Sahara Group for its enduring support of the country's energy sector during a meeting at the Presidential Palace in Dakar. He described Sahara as a trusted partner that aids Senegal's energy security through its collaboration with Société Africaine de Raffinage (SAR).

The meeting included Sahara Group's Executive Director, Wale Ajibade, and SAR's Managing Director, Mamadou Abib Diop. Faye acknowledged Sahara's commitment to Africa and its significant role in supporting Senegal's energy ambitions amid challenging global market conditions.

Ajibade expressed gratitude for the recognition and reiterated Sahara's dedication to collaborating with stakeholders in Senegal's energy ecosystem to enhance energy access and supply reliability. Diop emphasized Sahara's consistent support and significant investments in Senegal, highlighting the importance of their partnership in addressing the evolving needs of the energy sector.
