Tinubu Announces Key Appointments in Federal Agencies

On June 26, 2026, President Bola Tinubu announced three significant appointments aimed at enhancing leadership within federal agencies. Abdulrazak Sa'ad Namda was appointed as the new Director General of the Border Communities Development Agency (BCDA), succeeding Dr.

Dakorinama Alabo George, who resigned to contest for an electoral position in his home state. Namda, a seasoned journalist and public relations expert, previously served as Chief Press Secretary to former Adamawa State Governor Boni Haruna.

Additionally, Patrick Obahiagbon was appointed as the Executive Director of Strategy at the Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC), following the resignation of Engin Omoregi Ogbeid Ihama to pursue political aspirations in Edo State. Furthermore, Chukwuma Umeoji was reappointed to his previous role as Executive Director of Corporate Services at NDPHC, having represented Aguata Federal Constituency in the 9th National Assembly before stepping down from the agency to engage in political activities.
