Tinubu Condemns Plateau, Kaduna Attacks, Promises Justice

President Bola Tinubu condemned the recent attacks by gunmen in Plateau and Kaduna states, labeling them as barbaric and unacceptable. The attacks occurred in Angwan Rukuba district, Plateau State, and Kahir Village, Kagarko Local Government Area, Kaduna State, resulting in several deaths and abductions, including that of wedding guests.

In a statement released on Tuesday by his special adviser on strategic communication, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu assured Nigerians that perpetrators would be brought to justice. He described the attacks as cowardly and targeted at defenseless citizens, warning against potential reprisals.

The President directed security agencies to intensify efforts to track down the attackers and curb the spread of misinformation that could escalate tensions. He also urged the public to cooperate with authorities and emphasized the importance of proactive measures to prevent future attacks.

President Tinubu commended the efforts of Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang and Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani in managing the crisis and supporting rescue operations. He extended condolences to the victims' families and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
