Tinubu Administration Expands Infrastructure in Rivers

On Thursday, Vice President Kashim Shettima inaugurated the Elele-Umudioga-Egbeda-Ubimini-Akpabu-Ikiri-Omoku Dual Carriageway in Rivers State on behalf of President Bola Tinubu. This 33.5-kilometre road connects the Ikwerre, Emohua, and Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni local government areas, facilitating access along a vital agricultural, commercial, and oil and gas corridor.

Shettima emphasized that the administration is committed to spreading infrastructure and economic opportunities beyond major cities to alleviate congestion and promote balanced national development, aligning with the Renewed Hope Agenda. He praised Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara for completing the project, which aims to improve security and reduce criminal activities in the area.

The Governor expressed gratitude for the federal support and highlighted the road's potential to enhance mobility and economic activities. The State’s Commissioner for Works, Prof. Temple Nwofor, noted that the road represents a significant step towards durable infrastructure that addresses societal challenges.
