Tinubu Launches FCT Southern Parkway Service Lanes

On Tuesday, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu officially launched the FCT Southern Parkway Service Lanes project in Gaduwa District, Abuja. This initiative is part of the administration's broader infrastructural renewal program under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

The project includes the construction of dual service roads, two river bridges, drainage facilities, and street lighting, covering approximately three kilometers. The contract for the construction was awarded to CGC Nigeria Limited, with a completion deadline set for May 2026.

President Tinubu emphasized the importance of maintaining quality standards and ensuring effective project supervision to address community concerns during the construction period. FCT Minister Nyesom Wike expressed confidence that the project would significantly transform Abuja's landscape and improve transport efficiency.

He also warned against illegal land developments along the project corridor. The project is expected to enhance access to emerging residential districts and stimulate economic activity in the area.
