Presidential Aspirant Urges Action on UNIJOS Student Abduction

Faduri Oluwadamilare Joseph, a presidential aspirant associated with the Nigerian Rescue Movement (NRM), has called on security agencies to urgently secure the release of John Arum Azi, a student from the University of Jos who was reportedly abducted by unidentified individuals. In a statement titled "Nation in Pain," Faduri expressed deep concern over the treatment of the abducted student, highlighting a video that indicates the student is under significant stress.

He described the situation as reflective of Nigeria's serious security challenges, emphasizing that such incidents threaten public safety and national stability. Faduri urged authorities to deploy all available resources, including intelligence technology, to track down the abductors and ensure the safe return of the student and others who are similarly held captive across the country.

He outlined measures he would pursue if elected president, including reforms to the nation's security architecture and the adoption of intelligence-driven strategies.
