Tulip CNG Compressor Launch Boosts Nigeria's Clean Transport

The launch of the Tulip CNG compressor package in Lagos on Friday represents a significant step forward in Nigeria's initiative to promote cleaner and cheaper transport energy. Announced by Chanrai Nigeria Limited, the new gas compression technology aims to accelerate the country's transition to compressed natural gas (CNG).

This initiative is part of the federal government's presidential CNG initiative, which seeks to reduce dependence on petrol and diesel across the transport and power industries. Anil Sahgal, the Chief Operating Officer of Chanrai Nigeria Limited, described the technology as a game changer capable of driving economic growth while promoting environmental sustainability.

The compressor package, with capacities ranging from 250 to 1500 standard cubic meters per hour, allows for deployment in small stations and large gas hub systems. It features a dual chamber safety design to prevent leaks and incorporates advanced seal technology to eliminate gas loss, meeting global standards.

The company confirmed that the compressor package is available for immediate order, supporting remote monitoring solutions integrated with compression, storage, and dispensing services.
