Nigerian Presidential Jet Unsold Despite Listing for Sale

The Nigerian government listed the presidential Boeing 737-700 for sale four months ago, but it remains unsold. The aircraft, managed by AMAC Aerospace in Switzerland, underwent refurbishment in July 2024.

Valued at $56 million, the jet was originally acquired in 2005 during Olusegun Obasanjo's administration for $43 million. The sale is part of cost-cutting measures in the presidential air fleet amid increased scrutiny over Nigeria's spending on multiple presidential aircraft.
