APC Denies Candidate Substitution Plans in Nasarawa State

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State has officially debunked rumors regarding plans to substitute candidates emerging from recent party primaries ahead of the 2027 general elections. APC Chairman Aliyu Bello made this clarification on Saturday in Lafia while distributing forms EC9 and EC13 for 24 State House of Assembly candidates.

Bello emphasized that there would be no changes to successful candidates, stating, "no candidate change, nobody change anybody." He urged those spreading speculation to provide evidence for their claims. Bello also mentioned that the party is working towards establishing a reconciliation committee to address grievances among members, appealing for calm and cooperation as the party prepares for the elections.

He reassured members that opportunities exist within the party and that leadership positions are determined by divine will, not solely by individual actions.
