APC Aspirants Protest Candidate Replacements in Kwara

Aggrieved aspirants within the All Progressives Congress (APC) have cautioned the party regarding the replacement of candidates in the ongoing nomination process for the governorship elections. Reports indicate that Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq announced Ambassador Yahaya Seriki as the party's consensus candidate, which has been rejected by several aspirants, particularly from Kwara North.

The aspirants, including Lola Ashiru, Saliu Mustapha, and Umar Sadiq, signed a resolution expressing their discontent with the decision. There are unconfirmed reports that Abdulrazaq may replace Saliu Mustapha, Lola Ashiru, and Umar Sadiq with Princ Olalekan Adewoy, Dr.

Moham Umar Mahamud, and others for the senatorial positions. The Kwara APC Chairman, Princ Sundai Fagbemi, presented the nomination forms as part of the party's internal process.

The National Working Committee (NWC) is expected to review complaints from aspirants before finalizing candidates for the governorship and legislative elections.
