Primate Ayodele Blames Governors for Nigeria's Insecurity

Primate Elijah Ayodele, leader of the INRI Evangel Spiritual Church, blamed Nigerian state governors for the rising insecurity in the country. In a statement released on Tuesday, Ayodele accused governors of failing to properly utilize security votes intended to protect citizens, alleging that they divert these funds for personal and political luxuries instead of investing in security infrastructure.

He noted that although President Bola Tinubu has increased monthly allocations to state governors, the funds are not being used effectively to improve the lives of citizens. Ayodele emphasized that the governors spend security votes on frivolous party activities rather than on essential security measures.

He questioned the governors' claims of lacking control over security matters, stating that the failure of leadership at the state level is evident. Ayodele called for stricter oversight on how security votes are spent and demanded accountability from state governors regarding the use of these funds.
