AATU University Established in Kwara State by Abdulrazaq Toyin

Alhaji Abdulrazaq Toyin, the proprietor of AATU, revealed that his plans to establish a private university in Ok Ogba Gannon, Kwara State, were significantly influenced by Prof. Abdulrasheed Na’ Allah, a former Vice Chancellor of the University of Abuja and the pioneer Vice Chancellor of Kwara State University.

Toyin, who has a background as a grade two teacher and a farmer, initiated the plan to create a standard hospital and secondary school alongside the university on a large expanse of land in the heart of Gannon community. He has already put structures in place for this initiative.

During a visit to the site, Prof. Na’ Allah encouraged Toyin to pursue the necessary licensing from the National Universities Commission (NUC) to establish the university.

Toyin expressed his commitment to ensuring that AATU grows into a world-class institution, similar to Harvard University, and noted that the university has commenced operations with 600 students, aiming to positively impact the community by providing jobs and meeting the demand for admission seekers.
