AEP Launches Fundraising for Education in Edo Central

The Association of Esan Professionals (AEP), led by chairman Emmanuel Ogbebor, is planning a fundraising event aimed at enhancing educational and social interventions in Edo Central. The initiative focuses on mobilizing support for community projects, particularly in the education sector.

Dr. Henri Egbiki, president of AEP, explained that the group aims to provide educational grants to indigent students, with each grant worth N150,000.

A total of 50 students from five local government areas in Esanland will benefit from this program, which is designed to alleviate financial burdens on students and inspire them to pursue educational leadership opportunities. The AEP has set a target to support 100 students by December 2025, with the scholarship program being an annual affair.

Mr. Judg Okoyo, chairman of the scholarship screening committee, commended the association for its commitment to community development and urged socio-cultural groups to emulate AEP's example in investing in youth education.
