Mbah's Governance Transforms Nsukka Zone in Enugu State

Under the leadership of Peter Mbah, Enugu State has experienced a renaissance in the Nsukka Zone, characterized by strategic governance that prioritizes education, healthcare, and infrastructure. Mbah's administration has adopted a ward-by-ward framework, resulting in a total investment of N112 billion across 102 wards.

This includes N102 billion for smart green schools and N10.2 billion for Type 2 primary healthcare centers, reflecting a commitment to long-term human capital development. The state budget for 2024 is N521 billion, with a projected increase to N971 billion in 2025, indicating a significant allocation for the Nsukka Zone.

Infrastructure projects include the completion of the 44.1-kilometer Penok-Abakpa-Ugwogo-Opi-Nsukka road by October 2026, which aims to enhance connectivity and reduce logistics costs. Additionally, the establishment of ultra-modern transport terminals and markets is set to boost local economies and create permanent employment opportunities, thereby fostering youth agripreneurship and improving food security.
