Protest Over Reinstatement of Ondo SSG After Ticket Loss

Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti, who previously resigned as Secretary to the State Government (SSG) of Ondo to contest for the Ondo Central Senatorial seat in the 2027 general election, was reinstated after losing the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket amid allegations of manipulation.

Ayodeji Ologun, Chairman of the Ondo Redemption Front, expressed concerns during a press briefing in Abuja regarding the extended vacancy of the SSG position, which remained unfilled for several months. Ologun criticized Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa's administration for what he described as indecision and poor governance, stating that the delay in appointing a new SSG reflected a lack of urgency and appreciation for institutional governance.

He emphasized that the SSG role is critical for policy coordination and administrative efficiency. The Ondo Redemption Front called for stronger government institutions that prioritize governance over individual political ambitions.
