Kingsley Urges Objectivity in Criticism of Government Projects

Engr. (Dr.) Yakubu Mohammed Kingsley, the presidential aspirant of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) for the 2027 general elections, addressed comments made by former Cross River state Governor Donald Duke regarding the Lagos-Calabar coastal highway project. In a statement released in Abuja, Kingsley emphasized that political disagreements should not hinder the recognition of genuine government achievements.

He criticized Duke's assertion that the project represents a misplaced priority, arguing that opposition should be based on constructive criticism and not merely on political expediency. Kingsley, who is contesting the May 25 primary election results that nominated Duke as PRP’s presidential candidate, stated that the party should acknowledge both the successes and failures of government initiatives.

He praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration for the project's engineering and strategic planning. Kingsley awaits a court judgment on his case scheduled for November 2, 2026, reinforcing the PRP's commitment to principled politics.
