Kingsley Advocates for Issue-Based Campaigns in 2027

Engr. Yakubu Kingsley (YMK), the presidential aspirant of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) for the 2027 general elections, cautioned against character assassination and personal attacks during political campaigns. In a statement released on Sunday in Abuja, following the lifting of the campaign ban by INEC, Kingsley stressed that campaigns should focus on presenting clear, practical, and credible policies to tackle Nigeria's challenges.

He called for issue-based, peaceful campaigns guided by mutual respect, urging candidates to prioritize national unity over personal interests. Kingsley is currently contesting the May 25 primary election results that nominated former Governor Donald Duke of Cross River as the PRP's presidential candidate in a Federal High Court in Abuja.

He asserted that national unity is essential for peace, security, and economic progress, and warned against exploiting religious and ethnic differences for political gain. Kingsley emphasized that Nigeria's diversity should be a strength, not a source of division.
