PUAN Launches App for Electoral Transparency in Nigeria

The Polling Unit Ambassadors of Nigeria (PUAN) officially launched a digital application, the PUAN App, aimed at improving transparency and exposing electoral malpractices at polling units across Nigeria. Captain Dabas Suleiman, the PUAN Ambassador-General, announced this initiative on Friday in Abuja.

The app is designed to enable citizens to monitor activities at polling units and promote accountability in the electoral process. Suleiman stated that the platform would also allow citizens to track government projects and demand accountability regarding public resource utilization.

He emphasized that the initiative is not confrontational but seeks to foster responsible citizenship and constructive accountability. The preparations for the app's launch began on July 6, 2026, with subsequent media engagements and an international press conference.

Suleiman called for support from various stakeholders, including government institutions, political parties, and civil society organizations, to ensure the app's effective implementation in communities nationwide.
