Angela Emuwa Wins African Healthcare Award in Lagos

Angela Emuwa, the Chairman of Punch Nigeria Limited, was honored with the Extraordinary Women Advancing Healthcare Award at the third edition of the Ewah Awards held on Sunday in Lagos. This award recognizes her significant contributions to healthcare development and innovation, particularly in maternal and child health, routine immunization, and public health coverage in Nigeria.

Emuwa was among ten outstanding women across Africa who were celebrated for their roles in improving health outcomes and championing gender parity in the healthcare sector. Other notable awardees included Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye, Director General of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, and Njide Ndili, Managing Director of Nigeria Health Watch.

Emuwa described the award as a testament to Punch's unwavering commitment to advancing healthcare in Nigeria and emphasized the importance of ensuring quality healthcare access for every Nigerian. The event was attended by dignitaries, including Senator Daisi Danjuma and Patrick Ajah, Managing Director of Mai Baker Nigeria PLC.
