Qatar Offers 90-Day Visa on Arrival for South Africans, Seychellois

Qatar's Ministry of Interior has released a list of 43 countries whose citizens qualify for a free 90-day visa on arrival, with only South Africa and Seychelles representing Africa. This visa is free, non-extendable, and granted instantly upon arrival.

Citizens from countries not on the list, such as Ghana, Kenya, and Egypt, must apply through standard channels. To qualify for the visa, applicants must meet four conditions: hold a passport with at least three months of validity, present a confirmed round-trip travel ticket, show either a hotel reservation or a verified address in Qatar, and carry health insurance from approved companies.

The instant visa arrangement significantly reduces barriers for South Africans and Seychellois traveling for tourism, leisure, or brief stopovers, eliminating the costs and administrative burdens typically associated with international travel visas.
