Katsina Governor Donates N500,000 to NYSC Fire Victims

On a recent Friday, a fire broke out at a lodge located within Al Ilam Islam College in Kofar Guga, Katsina, affecting three female members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC): Miriam Doowues, Amina Dangana, and Aishat Patienc. The victims were reportedly asleep when the fire occurred and managed to escape through a burglar-proof storey, narrowly avoiding death.

Following the incident, Katsina State Governor Dikko Umaru Radda approved the release of N500,000 for each affected corps member as immediate financial support. The NYSC's state coordinator, Alhaji Ibrahim Saidu, reported the matter to the governor, who pledged to fulfill this promise.

Additionally, the NYSC Director General, Brigadier General Olakunle Oluseyi Nafiu, approved N250,000 for urgent needs. The victims expressed deep appreciation for the support from the state government and NYSC leadership.
