FRSC Urges Drivers to Follow Safety Measures in Rain

On Tuesday in Abuja, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) called on drivers to adhere to safety precautionary measures during the rainy season. FRSC Marshal Shehu Moham explained that driving in rain increases risks due to reduced visibility and slippery road conditions.

He advised motorists to ensure their vehicles are in good condition, including checking windscreen wipers, headlights, brake lights, and turn signals. Moham also emphasized the importance of maintaining proper tyre grip on the road, as tyres are crucial for vehicle safety.

He urged drivers to reduce speed during rainfall and to apply common sense regarding speed limits, particularly on slippery surfaces. The FRSC aims to enhance public awareness and improve vehicle checks during the rainy season, making it a major priority for traffic command offices across the country.
