Oyo's Odidiomo Urges Support for Makinde's 2027 Bid

Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Olajide Odidiomo, a member of the House of Representatives and Oyo South Senatorial candidate of the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM), called on the people of Oyo State to support Governor Engr. Seyi Makinde's presidential ambition for the 2027 election. In a statement released on Monday through his Special Adviser Media and Public Affairs, Tolu Mustapha, Odidiomo described Makinde's candidacy as a significant opportunity for Oyo State to have one of its own represented on the national political stage.

He urged indigenes across political affiliations to recognize the importance of supporting a local candidate and to demonstrate solidarity. Odidiomo emphasized that supporting Makinde should transcend partisan politics and called on various stakeholders, including political leaders, traditional institutions, and religious bodies, to promote his aspiration.

He reiterated that this support does not require abandoning individual political beliefs but acknowledges the significance of an Oyo indigene seeking the presidency.
