Sokoto Governor Approves March Salaries for Workers

Dr. Ahmad Aliyu, the Governor of Sokoto State, has approved the payment of March salaries for civil servants, local government workers, and pensioners in anticipation of the forthcoming Eid al-Fitr celebrations.

This decision was communicated through a press statement issued by the Director General of Media and Publicity, Abubakar Bawa. The governor urged civil servants to reciprocate the gesture by remaining dedicated and committed to their duties, highlighting the vital role they play in implementing the administration's nine-point smart innovation agenda aimed at enhancing the prosperity of Sokoto State.

Dr. Aliyu also noted the administration's commitment to ensuring timely salary payments and addressing the backlog of unpaid gratuities inherited from previous administrations.

Additionally, he mentioned the recent recruitment of 3,000 workers to various ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs) as part of efforts to enhance productivity and reduce unemployment in the state.
