Yobe State Eases Midnight Curfew for Ramadan Activities

The Yobe State Security Council, chaired by Deputy Governor Hon. Idi Bard Gubana, has decided to relax the midnight curfew during Ramadan to allow Muslims to carry out their religious activities smoothly.

Brigadier General Dahiru Abdulsalam (rtd) disclosed this during a security meeting with newsmen, emphasizing the need to review the security situation across the state. The council aims to strengthen preventive measures throughout Ramadan, which is characterized by various religious activities such as preaching, seminars, congregational prayers, iftar, and qiyamul lail, necessitating the presence of security agencies late at night.

Abdulsalam also expressed concerns regarding illegal mining activities in the Gulani Local Government Area and urged residents to continue supporting security agencies by providing credible information to maintain peace and protect lives and property during the 30 days of Ramadan.
