RAYE Clarifies Friendship with Michael B. Jordan at VMAs

RAYE has publicly denied speculation regarding a romantic relationship with actor Michael B. Jordan, referring to him as a friend.

The rumors began after they were seen together at Six Flags Magic Mountain in California on August 7. During interviews at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles on September 27, RAYE clarified the nature of their relationship, stating, “No, we’re just friends who like roller coasters.” She confirmed that they are working on an undisclosed project together but refrained from providing details, mentioning, “I’m technically not allowed to talk about it because I might get in trouble.” RAYE described Jordan as a “lovely friend” and noted that they have been “working on some things.” In addition to addressing the rumors, RAYE performed her songs ‘I Will Overcome’ and ‘WHERE IS MY HUSBAND!’ at the VMAs and participated in a tribute to the late George Michael.

She has indicated that she is postponing her next album until she experiences love again.
