RCCG Ordains 2,820 Pastors at 74th Annual Convention

The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) held its 74th Annual Convention from August 3 to August 9, 2026, at Redemption City, Ogun State, where it ordained 2,820 candidates as full pastors, the highest pastoral position in the church. Additionally, 11,830 deacons and deaconesses and 5,977 assistant pastors were ordained during the event.

The convention, themed “Mountain Movers,” attracted worshippers from Nigeria and around the world, featuring daily worship sessions, Bible studies, prayer meetings, seminars, and specialized sessions for various church groups. Key activities included the Holy Ghost Service, Holy Communion and Anointing Service, baptism, ordination services, and a final thanksgiving service.

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the church’s General Overseer, led several sessions alongside Pastor Folu Adeboye and other senior ministers. On the final day, it was announced that at least 88 babies were born at Redemption City during the convention, comprising 52 boys and 36 girls.
