RCCG Ordains Over 20,000 Leaders at 74th Convention

The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) concluded its 74th Annual Convention from August 3 to August 9, 2026, at Redemption City, Ogun State. During the convention, the church ordained 2,820 candidates as full pastors, 11,830 deacons and deaconesses, and 5,977 assistant pastors.

The office of full pastor is the highest pastoral office within the RCCG, held by the church's General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye. The convention, themed “Mountain Movers,” attracted worshippers from Nigeria and beyond, featuring daily worship sessions, Bible studies, prayer meetings, seminars, and specialized sessions for various church groups.

Major activities included the Holy Ghost Service, Holy Communion, Anointing Service, baptism, ordination services, and a final thanksgiving service. On the last day, Pastor Adeboye announced that 88 babies were born at Redemption City during the convention, comprising 52 boys and 36 girls.

The event concluded with a thanksgiving service, marking a week of spiritual activities.
