Rear Admiral Idi Abbas: From Chemist to Nigeria's 25th Chief of Naval Staff

Rear Admiral Idi Abbas, a chemist by education, has been appointed as the 25th Chief of Naval Staff in Nigeria. Born in Kano State in 1969, he joined the Nigerian Defence Academy in 1987 and rose through the ranks to his current position.
