APC's Religious Imbalance in Nasarawa May Cost Tinubu Votes

The Integr Youth Alliance has raised concerns regarding the All Progressives Congress (APC) leadership in Nasarawa State, accusing Governor Abdullahi Sule of promoting political arrangements that marginalize Christian politicians. In a statement issued on Sunday by spokesperson Danjuma Lamido, the group expressed dissatisfaction with the outcomes of recent APC primaries, noting that all major candidates for the governorship and three senatorial positions were Muslim, despite the state's considerable Christian population.

This situation has created widespread resentment among Christian stakeholders, who believe that fair religious balance is essential. The group highlighted the disqualification of female aspirant Angela Aya Bako from the Nasarawa North senatorial district race, while male aspirant Danladi Halilu was allowed to participate.

The alliance urged Governor Sule and APC leadership to provide equal opportunities for party members regardless of religious affiliation. They warned that perceived exclusion of Christians from major senatorial tickets could weaken Tinubu's electoral prospects in future elections.
