Thirteen Kidnap Victims in Benue State Regain Freedom

Thirteen victims who were kidnapped in Benue State have been freed, as confirmed by Ifeanyi Enemari, a representative of the Benue State Police. The abduction took place on Wednesday near Ikobi, close to Otukpo, when armed men attacked a commercial bus carrying passengers.

The police previously disclosed that seven suspects have been arrested in connection with this incident, which they described as a major breakthrough in ongoing efforts to secure the release of the victims. The police also confirmed that some passengers were rescued during operations aimed at addressing the kidnapping.

The details were shared during a press briefing held in Makurdi shortly after the victims' release, highlighting the police's commitment to tackling such security challenges in the region.
