Remo North APC Stakeholders Protest Local Executive Selection

Stakeholders from the Remo North chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) protested against the selection process of local executives, claiming it did not reflect inclusivity due to insufficient consultation among party members. The group, represented by Chief Adetokunbo Wasiu, submitted a letter to the Ogun State chairman of the party, expressing their dissatisfaction with the list submitted ahead of the preparations for the 2027 general elections.

They urged the state leadership to consider conducting fresh congresses in Remo North to promote internal democracy and unity within the party. The stakeholders emphasized the importance of enhancing the electoral prospects by increasing voter participation and ensuring a fair party process.

They expressed confidence that the state leadership would address their concerns through dialogue rather than protests, reinforcing trust among members for better future electoral performance.
