Renaissance Africa Energy Hits 2.2bcf Gas Production

Renaissance Africa Energy Company Nigeria Ltd announced a significant achievement in gas production, reaching 2.2 billion cubic feet (bcf) and setting a target of 3 bcf by 2030. This milestone was disclosed by the company's Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Toni Attah, during a visit to the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPrC) headquarters in Abuja, marking the company's anniversary.

Attah expressed gratitude for the regulatory support from NUPrC, which he noted is critical for the company's operational growth and ambitious expansion plans. He emphasized the importance of energy security in Africa and the need for collaboration with the commission to develop 10 to 15 field development plans annually.

NUPrC's spokesman, Eniola Akinkuotu, highlighted the need for a better regulatory environment to drive industry growth. The commission's Chief Executive, Oritsemeyiwa Eyesan, assured support for indigenous energy firms, reflecting a shift towards greater local participation in Nigeria's upstream sector.
