Tinubu's Government Withholds Osun LGA Funds for One Year

Bamidele Salam, a member of the House of Representatives, expressed concern over the Bola Tinubu-led federal government's decision to withhold funds meant for local governments in Osun State for one year. He stated that this action prevents the legitimately elected local government chairmen and councillors from accessing their secretariats, which he described as being occupied illegally.

Despite a court judgment, local government secretariats remain inaccessible, and Salam highlighted that Governor Ademola Adeleke continues to support local government operations amidst this situation. He noted that the governor has been paying salaries to local government workers and ensuring the functionality of primary healthcare centers and primary school teachers.

Salam emphasized the importance of delivering projects and programs to improve the welfare of residents and called for a vote on August 15 to continue the progress.
