Abbas Declares Fifth Term Bid for Zaria Constituency

Abbas, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, formally declared his intention to seek a fifth term representing Zaria Federal Constituency on Saturday. This announcement took place at the Mallawa Eid ground in Zaria, where he was supported by a large crowd of party loyalists and community leaders.

Abbas first entered the House of Representatives in 2011 and highlighted his legislative achievements, including sponsoring 74 bills, with 21 signed into law. He emphasized that his decision to seek re-election is based on his performance and commitment to delivering development to his constituents.

Abbas listed various empowerment initiatives, including the distribution of agricultural equipment such as tractors and fertilizers to farmers, and financial assistance to over 2,400 beneficiaries. He aims to continue his work in improving the livelihoods of residents and consolidating the progress made in the Zaria Federal Constituency.
