Speaker Abbas Announces Fifth-Term Bid for Zaria Seat

Speaker Abbas has officially declared his intention to contest for a fifth term representing the Zaria Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives. This announcement was made at the Mallawa Eid ground in Zaria, where he was supported by thousands of loyalists.

Abbas stated that his bid is based on tangible results and a proven track record rather than mere promises. He highlighted his legislative achievements, including sponsoring 74 bills and signing 21 into law, aimed at solving problems and strengthening governance.

Abbas has also focused on agricultural support, providing tractors, fertilizers, and equipment to farmers, and has initiated programs to enhance the livelihoods of community members. He reported that 2,400 beneficiaries received direct financial support, and 800 individuals were trained with financial assistance of N250,000 each.

Abbas first entered the House of Representatives in 2011 and aims to continue his work for the people of Zaria.
