Isoko South Council Chair's Two-Year Performance Praised

Residents and stakeholders in Isoko South have praised the performance of Warri Ovok, the Council Chair, marking two years in office since assuming the role on July 15, 2024. His administration has focused on addressing critical development needs across the community, with significant projects completed, including the rehabilitation of Oyed Irri Road and the construction of culverts on Ogbemudia Road in Oleh.

The council has also improved access for residents, farmers, and traders by renovating the council secretariat and enhancing security infrastructure. Ongoing projects include the construction of a modern administrative secretariat and a comprehensive grammar school.

In response to a cholera outbreak in Ikpid Irri, the council partnered with the Omodu Foundation to provide free medical outreach services. Additionally, the council distributed exercise books to 18,000 pupils in public primary schools and has initiated agricultural support programs, distributing improved cassava stems across 11 wards.

The administration has also worked on resolving community leadership disputes and promoting environmental sanitation.
