SDP Candidate Adebayo Urges Tinubu to Resign Over Insecurity

Adewol Adebayo, the presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), called on President Bola Tinubu to resign if he cannot ensure the safety of Nigerians. Speaking to journalists after a meeting with Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde at the governor's office in Ibadan, Adebayo condemned the deteriorating security situation in Nigeria, particularly in Oyo State, where three schools were recently attacked by bandits, resulting in the abduction of teachers and students.

He accused the federal government of failing in its constitutional responsibility to safeguard lives and property, describing the security crisis as a national issue. Adebayo emphasized that insecurity has spread across regions previously considered safe and criticized Tinubu's administration for not fulfilling its primary duty as Commander-in-Chief.

He warned that the ongoing violence and attacks on civilians and military personnel should not be taken lightly, urging Nigerians to recognize the severity of the situation.
