Oshiomhole: APC Not Responsible for Opposition Crises

Adam Oshiomhole, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former governor of Edo State, asserted that it is not the responsibility of the APC to resolve the internal crises of opposition parties. During a nationwide media chat, he dismissed criticisms suggesting that the APC should intervene, stating that such crises are self-inflicted by the opposition.

Oshiomhole emphasized that it is unrealistic to expect the APC to manage the affairs of rival parties. He expressed readiness to offer guidance if necessary but insisted that it is the responsibility of opposition parties to resolve their own challenges.

He also countered claims regarding the financial strength of opposition parties, noting that access to resources does not limit the ruling party. Oshiomhole highlighted that the APC has historically built its structure without relying on government resources and maintains financial independence through membership fees and contributions from party workers.
