Ex-convict Stabs Colleague Dada to Death in Ogun State

An ex-convict allegedly stabbed his colleague, known as Dada, to death during an argument in Akute, Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State, in the early hours of Saturday. Eyewitnesses reported that the argument escalated when Dada initially stabbed the suspect in the hand.

Following this, the suspect, described as notorious for crimes and recently released from prison, fled but returned with a weapon and stabbed Dada in the neck. Despite attempts by bystanders to apply pressure to the wounds, Dada died en route to the hospital.

Another eyewitness, Samuel, noted that Dada's body was left on the roadside after he was pronounced dead. A police source confirmed the suspect's notoriety and mentioned ongoing efforts to locate him.

Ogun State Deputy Police Public Relations Officer Opeyemi Oluborode stated that the police command is actively pursuing the suspect. This incident marks the second fatal stabbing in the area this year.
