Otti Urges Abure Loyalists to Rejoin Labour Party Ahead of 2027

Abia State Governor Otti addressed loyalists of former Labour Party chairman Julius Abure, encouraging them to return to the party in preparation for the 2027 general elections. During an inauguration meeting of the party's National Working Committee (NWC) held at its national headquarters in Abuja, Otti highlighted the importance of reintegrating members from the dissolved NWC, including state chairmen, as part of reconciliation efforts.

He noted that these efforts have already yielded positive results. Otti emphasized that the Labour Party's doors are open to anyone wishing to return.

He expressed confidence in the capabilities of the newly elected leadership, led by National Chairman Nenadi Usman, to stabilize the party for upcoming political contests. Additionally, Otti clarified that the Labour Party is not part of any agreement to adopt a single presidential candidate ahead of the next electoral cycle.
