Eastern Ports Collaborate with Maritime Workers for Growth

The Eastern ports in Nigeria are initiating a partnership with maritime workers and other stakeholders to enhance port development. This commitment was highlighted by Edith Kelechi Okezi, the manager of Port Harcourt Port, during the inauguration of the Eastern Port Joint District Council on Wednesday.

Okezi stressed the importance of every stakeholder's contribution to the development of the port, urging the union to dedicate their services towards achieving a significant position in the Nigerian port authority. The event was presided over by representatives from the Nigerian Ports Authority and the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria, including Comrade Ajayi Bamidel and Comrade Fagbemi Olakunle.

They expressed optimism about the resolutions from the meeting, which aim to improve efficiency and punctuality in port operations, emphasizing the union's commitment to uplifting and contributing to the growth of port operations.
