River State Government Denies Allegations of Removing Tinubu's Portrait

The River State Government has refuted allegations that Governor Siminalayi Fubara instructed the removal of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's portrait from the Government House in Port Harcourt. The government described the claims as false and politically motivated, with no action taken against any state agency for disrespecting the federal government.

Dr. Honour Sirawoo, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Communication, emphasized the excellent relationship between the River State Government and the federal government, including President Tinubu.

The Nation Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) had accused the governor of deliberately removing the portrait, leading to tensions. The government warned against spreading misinformation and divisive rhetoric, emphasizing the need for unity and peace in the state.
