Rivers LP Faction Collapses Structure, Backs Peter Obi for 2027 Presidency

The Rivers LP faction in Rivers State has dissolved its structure into the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and declared support for Peter Obi's presidential bid in 2027. Led by Nenadi Usman, the faction's chairman Gogo Wellington announced the decision, citing economic hardships and worsening insecurity in the country.

The move aims to align with opposition forces seeking to unseat President Bola Tinubu in the upcoming elections. Wellington highlighted the need for collective action and urged members to back Obi, who recently defected to ADC.
