Activist Demands Transparency on Fubara-Tinubu Deal in Rivers State

Niger Delta activist Ann Briggs called for transparency regarding the agreement between Governor Siminalayi Fubara and President Bola Tinubu, which led to the end of the emergency rule in Rivers State. Briggs emphasized the importance of Rivers people knowing the terms of the agreement to ensure credibility.

She demanded accountability from the authorities, including retired Admiral Ibas, on the utilization of state funds during the emergency period. Fubara's return to office after the lifting of the emergency rule sparked celebrations among supporters.
