RMAFC Calls for Efficient Resource Management for Growth

On July 20, 2026, the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) held a strategic retreat at Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos, emphasizing the need for efficient resource management to drive sustainable economic growth in Nigeria. Dr. Moham Bello Shehu, representing the commission, highlighted the importance of shifting Nigeria's fiscal governance focus from merely collecting revenue to ensuring efficient allocation and transparent accountability.

Hon. Kolad Daniel Abimbola from Oyo State described the retreat as a platform to review Nigeria's evolving fiscal landscape and develop practical solutions for strengthening domestic revenue mobilization. The discussions included the need for stronger collaboration among fiscal institutions and the private sector, as well as the deployment of real-time digital revenue monitoring systems to enhance transparency and reduce leakages.

Hon. Jame Abiodun Falek commended the RMAFC for convening the retreat, stressing that prudent allocation and effective oversight are essential for transforming public resources into tangible developmental outcomes.
